The Islington Society Event – 27/11/2023

The Islington Society event on Monday 27 November at 7.00 pm in the Town Hall (committee room 1), at which one the leading architects working in Islington and neighbouring boroughs, Gavin Hale-Brown, of the architectural practice Henley Hale-Brown, will be speaking. His subject will be the challenges of converting historic listed buildings for modern use, using the examples of local award-winning schemes his practice has completed at the Laszlo building in Archway, and at 98-100 De Beauvoir Road. He will also discuss other local projects including the Hackney New Primary School, for which Henley Hale-Brown was nominated for the RIBA Stirling prize in 2022.
