A talk by Sarah Scannell
Director Planning and Development, Islington Council
Room 1, Islington Town Hall, Weds 29th April, 7pm.
Sarah Scannell took up her post in October last year, so is relatively new in this important position. She was previously in Birmingham as Assistant Planning Director and she says her job here allows her to focus on detail more than she was able to in the past. Planning authorities everywhere are under pressure from government to approve more housing, while the resources available for them to do so are decreasing. In London as a whole, housing and other development is falling to historic lows. Sarah will talk to the society about these and other challenges and answer questions afterwards.
This is an open meeting and all are welcome.
